Once again, the citizens of the United States witness a liberal President who uses the military as a back-drop just for political purposes. We have witnessed this over our history from the Vietnam war to Bill Clinton's nation building to today's fight against radical Muslims. Today, liberals are using Multiculturalism to target our military history.
Recent examples are the President not being able to make a decision on the war in Afghanistan, the terrorists at Gitmo being tried in a civilian court, and Navy selas who will be tried for the capture and rough treatment of a killer, Mr. Ahmed Abed. The President will use the military as a back-drop at West Point to attempt to persuade the American public this week that more time, troops and money will be required for a corrupt government. However, he will not allow the military to take the "golves off" and use all necessary methods to kill the Muslim terrorists in Afghanistan. How can the US shut down the poppy growing and drug distribution, while at the same time stop government graft? "The significance of the Afghanistan decision cannot be understated," said Peter Mansoor, a retired Army colonel who assisted Gen. David H. Petraeus with strategic planning for the U.S. war effort in Iraq and now teaches military history at Ohio State University. "The president's decision, coming after so many weeks of study and commentary, will set the strategic direction of the conflict in Afghanistan," Mr. Mansoor said. The strategic direction of the eight-year conflict has been the focus of an intensive internal debate at the White House that began over the summer and has since consumed ninelengthy meetings in the Situation Room. There, Mr. Obama has allowed his top generals, his senior foreign-policy advisers, his national-security team and his political aides to debate whether the country should invest more resources in the hopes of bringing security and stability to a lawless place, or whether the military should begin a drawdown that would leave a more limited and surgical force in place to suppress al Qaeda. The nation's top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, presented the president and his team with a range of options that included troop commitments reported to have ranged from 10,000 to 40,000 on top of the 68,000 already there. But resource commitments were only part of the equation. There was the larger question of what the U.S. wanted to accomplish in Afghanistan, and whether those goals are essential to American security, or even achievable. Nathaniel C. Fick, a Marine veteran who heads the Center for a New American Security, said the president appears to be prepared to endorse Gen. McChrystal's plan for a broad counterinsurgency strategy aimed at stabilizing populated areas in Afghanistan, and eventually training a home-grown force to maintain that security. That effort is likely to take 30,000 to 35,000 additional American troops, and a further 5,000 troops from NATO allies. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown confirmed Wednesday that several NATO countries will send the additional 5,000 troops. NATO is not doing its job and many European countries are not living up to their NATO functions and obligations. A recent Washington Post poll found that 52 percent of Americans see the war in Afghanistan as not worth its costs - only 45 percent approve of how he is dealing with it, while 48 percent disapprove. That support is even worse, at 39 percent, among independents, a key constituency for the White House. Either the US must use all methods to defeat the terrorists, or just pull out and let the country go back to being a terrorist camp. The choice is very clear. -

We in Maryland have a state supported organization that helps illegals and thinks that they are above the law. When will citizens of Maryland stop supporting payments to CASA of Maryland? Our police do their job to protect us and they get sued by a left-wing organization that has the support of the Governor. If Maryland stopped providing support to illegal aliens, we taxpayers would save $500 M a year. Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, among others, is the target of a federal lawsuit filed by a Hispanic immigrant. Roxana Orellana Santos' $1 million suit alleges that her civil rights were violated when two of Jenkins' deputies approached and subsequently arrested her in Frederick last October. Santos claims she was simply eating lunch outdoors when she was profiled by the deputies because of her appearance. Kerry O'Brien is the director of services for CASA de Maryland, an immigrant advocacy organization, and one of several groups that has taken up Santos' cause. O'Brien's position is that Santos was neither committing a crime when she was arrested, nor charged with one after being detained. Perhaps not, but is that the real issue here? The two deputies on the scene said Santos tried to hide when she saw them -- behavior that properly aroused their suspicion. A routine search on a national database turned up a federal immigration warrant, and, after discovering that, the deputies arrested Santos. Many in Frederick County no doubt find it ironic that a person in deportation proceedings is suing the law enforcement agency that identified her as a candidate for deportation. Frankly, we do too. Those same folks may also see this lawsuit as an attempt to target Frederick County's participation in the federal 287(g) program, in which the sheriff's office, under U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement guidelines and supervision, identifies lawbreaking illegal immigrants and refers them to ICE for potential deportation. O'Brien claims 287(g) is designed to identify serious/violent crimes, but to date about 90 percent of those processed under the program were accused of misdemeanor offenses. Jenkins has interpreted the program to include offenses such as traffic violations. In the end, this lawsuit is a manifestation of the federal government trying to have it both ways. On the one hand it has the 287(g) program to identify illegal immigrants, but on the other hand it said the program should focus only on criminal/dangerous illegal immigrants. What do you do when a person driving drunk or revoked turns out to be an illegal immigrant? Jenkins' approach has been to refer to ICE anyone who, through normal police activity, is identified as an illegal immigrant. That would include scofflaw drivers -- and Santos as well if, as the deputies said, she attempted to elude them. We are incredulous that Santos could be successful in this. Think of it. A woman is approached by police because of suspicious behavior, and while questioning her they discover federal immigration authorities have issued a warrant for her. They take her into custody and refer her to immigration officials. And they did what wrong? Now, while in deportation proceedings, Santos is suing the sheriff and others for a cool million. The outcome of Santos' suit could have national implications; it could even be, as Jenkins says, a "powder keg." One thing is certain - folks in Frederick County won't be the only ones following the progress of Santos' lawsuit through the courts. -

The planned attack and killing of 14 Americans (13 adults and 1 unborn) was a terrorist attack by a radical Muslin. This is the same type of planning that American military members fight every day in Iraq and Afghanistan. Not only do we have to guard against these types of individuals, we have to fight our own political correctness.
Many American citizens see what the Obama administration does not see when it comes to our military and political correctness. Across the country, many stood before several flag-draped coffins during funeral services for several of the 13 victims of the Nov. 5 shootings in Fort Hood, Texas. "He was killed by a terrorist in my mind but he was still killed in the line of duty. We owe him a debt of gratitude, him and his family and the other soldiers. We owe them our lives, our freedom," Ellabarger said. "We may never find out the reason for what occurred on that fateful day at Fort Hood, Texas," said Ross Ridge, the deputy commanding general at Fort Sill, Okla. "The military community is all grieving here today over the loss of this dedicated soldier." Will we have a complete and open investigation into this terrorist attack? Mr. Obama wants to delay the Fort Hood probe, yet when a police action took place in Cambridge, MA, he quickly came out and said that the police were “stupid”. Currently the administration cannot make a decision on the troop level in Afghanistan, even though this war is the “just” war. We need a leader in the White House that will make a decision for the protection and interest of all American citizens. Either the US fully supports a winning strategy or we pull out all our troops so Iran can move into the void which will cause critical long term problems. The decision to send the Gitmo terrorists to New York for trial is a big mistake. We need to conduct a military trial in Cuba and execute the terrorists by firing squad. These terrorist do not deserve to come to the US and have any of our rights. This trial is about the far left trying to get even with the Bush administration, not real justice. Our military is fighting two wars---one on the battlefield and one from inside our own ranks. -

What are real metrics and not just "puff"? The goal of this administration is ANMESTY for 20 million illegals. What should be measured: 1. Number of illegals that get across the border 2. Number of human traffickers 3. Number of drug runners 4. Amount of drugs coming across the border 5. Number of local and state agencies assisting under 287 (g) 6. Number of Day Labor Centers across America 7. Number of Consular offices opened by Mexico and other Central/South American countries 8. Number of country origins of illeglas arrested 9. Correct number of miles of fence that are built to specification 10. Number of actual agents on the border 11. Number of cameras, UAVs, and sensors on the border 12. Coordination with ICE on arresting illegals and business owners who give them jobs Napolitano pronounces US border more secure now By SUZANNE GAMBOA (AP) WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has met many of the border security benchmarks Congress set in 2007 as a prerequisite to immigration reform and now it's time to change the law, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday. Napolitano, designated by President Barack Obama to lead the administration's immigration reform efforts, said many members of Congress had said they could support immigration reform, but only after border security improved, Napolitano said. "Fast forward to today, and many of the benchmarks these members of Congress set in 2007 have been met," she said in a speech to the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. She cited construction of 600 miles of border fence and the hiring of more than 20,000 Border Patrol agents. Illegal immigration has also fallen sharply because of better enforcement and the economy. "I've been dealing hands-on with immigration issues since 1993, so trust me: I know a major shift when I see one, and what I have seen makes reform far more attainable this time around," Napolitano said. Congress passed tough immigration enforcement legislation in 2006 that called for building 700 miles of border fences and barriers. Immigration critics have said the fence has not been built with double layers as the law required and is not all fencing. "How can they claim that enforcement is 'done' when there are more than 400 open miles of border with Mexico, hundreds of thousands of criminal and fugitive aliens and millions of illegal immigrants taking American jobs?" said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, which oversees immigration and border issues. Napolitano said the immigration and border security improvements are not enough. "The laws themselves need to be reformed," she said. Obama has repeatedly said immigration reform is a priority, although it has been pushed further down the list as he has taken on the economy and health care reform. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has said he would introduce legislation by early next year. New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who heads the Senate Democrats' campaign arm, has said immigration reform must be done by March or it won't be taken up until after the 2010 elections. -

Iran is the # 1 enemy of the United States and the world. For over 30 years, Iran has supported and exported terror around the world and against America.
Iran supports terrorism in the below areas: 1. Provides money, arms, IED material, and manpower to kill American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan 2. Provides support to Hezbollah with support to kill Israeli and American citizens 3. Provides support to Hamas so they can kill Israeli citizens 4. Has supported terrorists in airplane hijackings and bombings 5. Is building nuclear weapons to expand their terrorist threats The U.S. policy concerning Iran is weak and unrealistic. Iran is still calling for the "Death to America" and is calling for the "destruction of Israel". We must take them seriously and do more than just "engage" Iran with empty words. -

The U.S. Congress must be reformed to save our democracy and nation. The Congress is out of control and has too much power. We need to be afraid of long-time members of Congress who think they know more than the average American tax paying citizen.
The Congress: *Spends too much money *Extends the national debt w/o regard for our economy *Passes laws that will not aid economic recovery *Trys to supervise and controll everything such as healthcare *Members make a career out of public service *Members are more concerned about self and party, not the American citizen *Members promote and protect their selected groups such as ACORN and unions *Members break the law, cheat, and steal, yet try to protect themselves In order to return the U.S. Congress to true public servants and be accountable to the tax paying citizens of the United States, the below reform of Congress MUST OCCUR: 1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below. A. Two Six year Senate terms B. Six Two year House terms C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 2. No Tenure / No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home and back to work. 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 6. Congress looses their current health care system. Congress should participate in the same health care system as the American people. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. 8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/10. The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. -

Conservatives across the country have stood up and said enough to Dede Scozzafava, a very liberal Republican from New Your. Maybe when Senator Snowe from Maine comes up for re-election, conservatives will do the same since she is the reason why the Democrat healthcare bill got out of the Finance Committee.
Liberal Republican nominee Dede Scozzafava stunned the New York political world Saturday by announcing the suspension of her campaign for the state's 23rd Congressional District three days before the election. The surprise move leaves New York Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, with no prior political experience but a strongly conservative stance on virtually all issues, as the sole competitor against businessman and lawyer Bill Owens, the state Democratic Party's nominee, in a race most polls say is too close to call. "It's an immense victory for the Conservative Party," a jubilant Mike Long, the state party's longtime chairman and a powerhouse in New York politics, told The Washington Times. "It shows the GOP gave courage to other Republicans to make the move to Hoffman against their own party's nominee." "In the beginning no one believed we could prevail, and nearly everyone accused us of being spoilers," Mr. Long told The Times. "But we were given the opportunity to help take back the country for the taxpayers, beginning with the 9/12 movement and the anti-spending 'tea parties.' " Mrs. Scozzafava's breaks with the Republican Party on thorny issues such as abortion, card-check labor legislation and the economic stimulus bill had been rapidly driving supporters to Mr. Hoffman's upstart campaign. In a letter to supporters, Mrs. Scozzafava explained that in "recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be. ... The reality that I've come to accept is that in today's political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money - and as I've been outspent on both sides, I've been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record." "It's time for us to send a message to Washington: We're sick and tired of big-spending, high-taxing, career politicians and by voting for me on Tuesday you will send that message loud and clear," Mr. Hoffman said in a statement reacting to the news. I agree with Doug Hoffman--we need less government and fiscal conservatives in DC. The RNC must support conservative candidates and target the policies of the extreme left in the Democrat Party. Out nation is worth saving!!! -
